    Chaplain Corps97Renamed 3 July 08
The Air Force Chaplain Service requested to change its name to The Air Force Chaplain Corps to better conform with the titles of the Navy and Army Chaplain Corps.

Chaplain Corps brings two core competencies to America92s Air Force: spiritual care and advice to commanders on issues of religion and ethics.

This name change does not effect the duties and responsibilities of the Chief of Chaplains.

    Chaplain Corps Air Mobility Command
The AMC Command Chaplain Directorate, Scott AFB IL, facilitates opportunities for the Airmen and families of Air Mobility Command to exercise their constitutional right of freedom of religion at home and while deployed.

By resourcing our active duty chaplain teams and supporting our Air National Guard chaplain teams, the mission to nurture the living, comfort the wounded and honor the dead moves forward.

Advising commanders on issues ranging from religious practice to the dynamic role of religion in international relations continue to mature in importance. In performing these competencies, we aspire Above All ... Glorifying God 95 Serving Airmen 95 Pursuing Excellence to enable the 93Global94 in Global Vigilance, Reach and Power.
